Andre Matos – Maestro Do Rock – Episode II
Documentary| 135’|4K UHD|color|Brazil|2023
Much awaited by fans, the second film of the four that make up the documentary will show the Maestro's entry into the Santa Marcelina College of Music, where he met the friends with whom he would form Angra. The film takes on questions that were asked more than 20 years ago and that never been answered. With statements from Andre himself, Kiko Loureiro and Rafael Bittencourt, who talks about the disagreement among band members and the consequent departure of Matos of Angra. Drummer Marco Antunes, who for the first time speaks publicly about Angra, tells how things started to go wrong right at the beginning of the band.
Since its inception, Angra has been an absolute success, having received a Gold Record in Japan with its first album, “Angels Cry”. Confirmation of the band's greatness and quality was the second album, “Holy Land”, which mixed Brazilian rhythms with metal in a very interesting way.
Not everything was a success in the story of Andre Matos and the documentary discusses with all the members and Andre the internal unpleasantness and crises that made these themes legends in the heavy metal scene and which will now be revealed.
