Hailing from the land of the thousand lakes where the winters are long and cold, Wintersun is the project of singer and multi instrumentalist Jari Mäenpäa, formerly of Ensiferum.

Powerful and majestic with a lot of energy, the music mainly flows with great melodies influenced by folk and Scandinavian traditional music.
